Jack retired? Is this the end of Just Shoot Me?

I recently saw the Just Shoot Me episode where Jack was retiring. I
don't remember if they talked him out of it.

But if Jack has left Blush (in the mostly capable hands of Maya), is
this the end of Just Shoot Me?

It'll probably be the end of Blush within a few years. Nothing
against Maya, but she'd turn the magazine upside down, and run off all
it's current readership, without getting new readers.

It is the final episode. When they filmed it the show was not
technically cancelled so if there had beeen a Season 8 I imagine it
would have been with Maya in charge.

It does make you wonder if Jack would have been making frequent
appearances to come back and interfere with her after all?

It's all speculation at this point of course
