Why would Elliott give up a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom palace, where he pays
$200 a month, in a great neighborhood... to move to this tiny shoe
box? That made no sense to me. And the storyline wasn't even resolved.
If I recall correctly, Ally lives next to Jack with Hannah. So Elliott
lives on the other side? How does Jack not get stiffled?

I'm still not a fan of the Jack/Elliott storylines. Those two are only
funny together when Maya is involved. But man, Elliott must be loaded,
to give a year's rent in advance. In this super fancy building. In New
York. I guess he got tired of living in a big apartment. But damn,
brother! For 200 bucks I'd room with Saddam.

Anyway. The episodes were okay. I'm not sure how I felt about Simon's
parents. Then again, I'm not sure how I feel about Simon. The fake
accent is too distracting.

Favorite quote:

Maya: A lot of adults cannot get past the parent/child dynamic. It's
tragic, really.
Jack: (passing by) Hey, princess.
Maya: (desperately) Hi, daddy!

Lol. For some reason the Maya/Jack relationship is really funny this
season, albeit scarce. I remember at the beginning of the season Maya
thinking, "Why doesn't my father love me?" out of nowhere. Love it.

I also got a kick out of there being a sexual position called The Van
Horn. Of course! It makes sense, lol. I miss crazy Nina.

So this is it. Two episodes left, and we're done. I'm gonna cry my
eyes out so hard next week. I don't even wanna watch it :(

Elliott was paying $200 a month?? Nice! Yes, you're right, he was insane to
move! Was his old place the place he got in that ep where he >& Maya
pretended to be a couple to impress the landlady (the name escapes me..)

I gotta say I love his accent! I had no idea it was fake, then again I
thought it was Scottish, so that shows how much I know about accents (er,
not much!!)

You know they have mainly new writers this year and continuity has
been going out the window in a lot of cases...I have a feeling they
didn't even watch the older episodes, you'd think that would have been
a requirement...

I've been trying not to say this because I figured the Nina fans would
like her having this steady guy but Simon has been *way* overused.
And they don't even have any real conflict! Remember Adrienne dumping
Finch? And the aftermath when he acts so desperate with the "model"
Nina hires? That was so sad/funny.
Also it means that a) Nina's scenes with everyone else have been
sadly reduced and b) she's getting too normal. Sigh...

As scarce as a Nina / Finch scene...

I remember at the beginning of the season Maya

Oh, I know. I lived in NY for a while and now I live in LA. It sucks
so much I can't even verbalize it.

Which was the reason why I liked his old apartment better. And his
landlady? Sweetest. And she was Mrs. Landingham on The West Wing.
Which has nothing to do with anything, but I love that actress.

I'd agreee that *this* storyline really doesn't go anywhere, but I can
think of at least a couple that I really enjoyed including the Jack
buys Elliott's car storyline from "Friends and Neighbors'" and the "my
cannoli" storyline from "The Two Faces of Finch 1". :)

Does anyone know if JSM episodes like "The Goodbye Girl" and "Strange
Bedfellows" were shown in Canada?

I'm not in Canada but from what Audra has said I think not. However
with a little luck (I hope) we will get them when syndication starts.
Which I think might be next January, that's what happened with season
6.

I'd still like to know what happened to "Evaluate This." It might or
might not be another name for "Strange Bedfellows." I guess we'll
find out someday.

Nope, we didn't see them here either... sigh. I was really looking forward
to "The Goodbye Girl" too. Oh well, hopefully soon! It's sort of exciting
having two new ones still out there (somewhere)

Rose, which one was "Evaluate This"? Apparently "Strange Bedfellows" is
about Jack falling for a feminist.. (says this website, which gives a
partially inaccurate description of The Goodbye Girl...)

http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/EpisodeGuideSummary/showid-160/season-7/

btw, LOVED the last two, will write more in another post.
